Get your flu shot
One of the easiest ways to prevent getting the Flu is to get your flu shot! A flu shot can be given to you at any of your local urgent cares. Flu shots are painless most of the time & come with very little side effects. Some of them include:
- Pain in arm
- swelling in the arm
- slight fever
Remember, flu shots aren’t always 100% effective, so it is very important that you take precautionary measures this season still!
Sanitation tips
If you are commuting to work & are taking public transportation, you will be around a lot of people. It is important to start practicing some daily sanitation measures, some things you can try are:
- cough in the elbow
- carry around hand sanitizer
- don’t touch communal hand railings, bus handles ext
- Wash your hands before every meal
The flu is extremely contagious so it is important to know you are always at risk of catching it in public.
Protect your kids too!
Even if you take all the precautions for the flu, you cannot forget about friends & family. It is important to talk about the flu and make it a propriety. Some people think since they got the flu shot once they are protected but that is false information. The flu comes back in a different strand every year so a flu shot is needed!
