FirstCall Urgent Care and Centennial Medical Group has opened up outdoor, drive-thru testing for COVID-19 as part of a partnership with Merriweather Post Pavilion and the Howard County Fairgrounds. Testing is performed from 8:30AM – 3:00PM Monday through Friday at the West Gate of the Pavilion. As part of our extended services during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Centennial Medical Group / FirstCall Urgent Care is partnering with this historic venue to benefit all our our patients and nearby communities.

How does PRIME PCR COVID-19 Testing at Centennial Medical Group compare to other tests?  

We’ve spent the time, money and effort to build our own labs to eliminate the middleman and 3rd party labs that extend testing processes. Since our provider team has the resources to test, analyze, and return lab-results all patients can get a same-day test from the comfort of their car, without the risk on going into a facility.  We now bring you the very best drive-thru COVID-19 testing experience and a same day PCR result.  PRIME PCR is available at both Merriweather Post & Howard County Fairgrounds.

How does car service work?

For increased safety and convenience, patients are asked to remain in their cars while waiting for to be tested. We have been experiencing long lines since beginning this service and ask that your remain patient. Rapid test results are available within 24 hours due to current patient volume. If you want more detailed labs confirming diagnosis, results will take between 2 – 7 days depending on the current volume and capacity at third-party partner labs including Lab Corps and Quest Diagnostics.

What is the cost of drive-thru COVID-19 testing?

COVID-19 testing is of no cost to the patient. The patient’s insurance is billed, or the state of Maryland will receive the bill for your test.
